Society of St. Vincent De Paul-
SVDP is an international Catholic organization of laypersons, founded in 1883 by Frederic Ozanam and his companions. Placed under the patronage of St. Vincent de Paul, the Society derives its inspiration from his thinking and work. It seeks, in a spirit of justice and charity and by person-to-person involvement of its members, to help those who are suffering.
who we are and what we do –
Established in November 1995, the St. Joseph Conference is a group of faithful volunteer members who share their time and talent to provide temporary assistance to those in need in the Manor community. We provide emergency assistance with utilities and food and in other ways we can. We make home visits in teams of two during our week of service. SVDP is funded by monthly Black Bag donations from the parish and fundraisers during the year.
Three types of members:
When we meet: 2 monthly meetings, 1st & 3rd Sundays, between Masses.
Time requirement: Active members 4-8 hours per month.

Local society meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month except for June, July and December. Meetings begin with a potluck supper at 6:30 pm and end with the praying of the Rosary. Guests are welcomed to attend.
