How We Can Assist You

Client Assistance & Service Information

The Society of St Vincent de Paul Conference of St Joseph Catholic Church is composed of volunteer members who devote their time and talents to assist those in need.  Our active members make home visits to each client needing assistance by appointment only.

Funding: We are funded by monthly parish donations, generous sponsors and the twinning contributions of a sister conference. We receive no county, state or federal funding.

Service Area: We serve individuals and families living in the Manor area in the 78653. We serve parishioners regardless of address.

Assistance types: We assist individuals and families with temporary assistance for rent, utilities (electricity, water and propane) once every six (6) months.  Regretfully, we do not help with utility deposits, car repairs, transportation, medical/dental expenses, credit card bills etc.

Food Pantry: We assist with food from our small pantry once a month by appointment. Our pantry contains non-perishable items like rice, pastas, can goods, instant soups etc.

Service days: We accept calls on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday only.  We do not accept calls for assistance on Thursday, Friday, the weekend or holidays.   Please note: due to a high volume of calls our service days may be changed without notice.

Contact us:  Please call our Helpline and leave a message as directed.   We will return your call within 48 hours or as soon as possible.
